1996
under new administration
The current pastor arrived in
November of 1996 in Spring Hill. He was soon followed by
Sister Mary Michaela a former CMRI religious who joined the parish team in
December of 1996.
Together they had co founded the religious community the Little Company of
the Immaculate Heart of Mary
in the Summer of 1996 having obtained episcopal approval of their new
rule.

July - Joseph Mullane explains certain
documents to Fr as he hands over the running of the Church to him.
As Joe put it: "I'm retiring at last !". Joe had been the coordinator
of the Church ever since 1975
November - Bishop Daniel Dolan makes his first visit to the parish

February - Bishop Dolan returned to preach a 3 day Lenten parish mission and for confirmations

In the Fall of 1998 Bishop Dolan returned to Our Lady of Fatima to preach a day
of recollection
focusing on the True Devotion to Mary of St Louis Marie de Montfort

| Spy Wednesday
- Father fell through the ceiling in the church and fractured his left
ankle in 3 places. After an operation on Good Friday he had 11 pins inserted. (1 for each of those who made their consecration to Mary.) |
Easter Sunday -
Preaching (during Mass) from a wheel-chair. A table altar was placed at
the foot of the altar steps. One lady, when she saw the table, thought Fr
was going to offer the Novus Ordo ! (He didn't, though !) |
