The fearsome machine in question !
A priest friend who read the last column sent me this e-mail which caused me no small amount of amusement:
As usual, fell hard and fast off my chair at your post about the
charismaniac "trad" priest show, but this time almost broke my neck 'cuz I
was laughing so fast out of control, I wasn't able to cushion my descent
into cyber-hades.
Was this dude actually the first-cousin of the same guy infamously known
as "the ugly traditionalist?"
Please God, Your Excellency has by now sufficiently recovered and cried
out in last-resort desperation: "Beam me up again, Scotty, but this time
de-neutralize me!"
Ever thought of organizing a world-class team of trid-trad, uber-treker,
nerd-geeks to help you invent the cosmos' first money-back guaranteed
deneutralizer machine, available for a tax-deductible, nominal donation so
irresistibly cheap as to be irrefusable, irrefutable
and....well....uh....a....marketable as metaphysically 99.9% infallible?
Such a deal!
Perhaps it could be rendered polyvalent for occasional emergency use on the
right against Sede, SSPX and other sundry cult-brainwashings?
Would appreciate any future intellectual property-right
commission-royalties.
Santa's ideal, ultra must-have toy for every Catholic home....(OK,
Anglicans, too!) The latter reference is to a former "Catholic" who
apostatized (for the second time) !
I am not sure that I (or Father) would have any "rights" to the program since it appears the US military is working on a similar machine (and I wouldn't want to mess with them !)

PS. Father, who is the "ugly traditionalist" ? I never heard that expression before ! It surely wasn't "Simon van Gelder" was it ?
